MACC Fund Board Welcomes Dr. Ming You

MACC Fund Board Welcomes Dr. Ming You, Director of the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center

The MACC Fund is fortunate to be in a position to support great researchers and clinician thanks to the generosity of thousands of donors, participants, sponsors and volunteers over the past 34 years.

The Medical College of Wisconsin has been a beneficiary of MACC Fund support since the inception of the MACC Fund in 1976. The MACC Fund has contributed over $30 million to the College since then. The MACC Fund is the College’s biggest donor. As an important partner, the MACC Fund is always interested in the College’s recruitment of key talent.

Toward that end, the MACC Fund Board of Directors was anxious to meet the new Director of the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center, Dr. Ming You, MD, PhD. A native of Beijing, China, Dr. You recently left the nationally acclaimed Washington University to lead the College’s Cancer Center. He began his leadership role on September 1.

Dr. You is a nationally and internationally renowned scientist/clinician with a specialty in lung cancer. Having met Dr. You at a board meeting last week, it was easy to understand why Dr. Jonathan Ravdin, Dean of the Medical College, recruited Dr. You to this important position. He has the talent, expertise and proven track record along with an infectious personality, enthusiasm and charm which will undoubtedly lead to great things for both adults and children who rely on the Center for that important “Gift of Hope.”

Welcome Dr. You! We are happy that You have joined the team fighting cancer.

~John Cary, Executive Director
